The Dili International Marathon is Timor-Leste's premier running event, bringing together athletes and recreational runners from across the globe to one of Southeast Asia's most breathtaking coastal routes. Organized by the Federação de Timor-Leste de Atletismo (FTA) under the patronage of President José Ramos-Horta, Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, the 2026 edition carries the theme "Love our forests and wildlife."
The 2026 edition features AIMS accredited course measurement, MYLAPS professional timing technology, and a dedicated national training squad programme.
The marathon is held under the patronage of President José Ramos-Horta, a towering figure in Timor-Leste's independence movement and recipient of the 1996 Nobel Peace Prize.
Event partners include Permatil (Permaculture Timor-Leste) and the José Ramos-Horta Climate Action and Resilience Fund. Institutional support from the Presidência da República and RDTL.
